A close friend is someone who knows you inside and out. Someone who knows your flaws and weaknesses but also loves you for them. They're the person who has your back no matter what, even if they don't agree with you or think you're wrong. A close friend is someone who makes you feel comfortable without fear of judgement. A close friend is somebody who believes in you, no matter what.
A close friend cares about your well-being and will be there for you when things go wrong — not just when they're going great! They are loyal to a fault and will always be there as a shoulder to cry on when things aren't going well or as an ear to listen when you need someone to vent to.
Close friends are there through thick and thin, good days and bad days, laughter and tears. They know the real you inside and out, both good points and bad points, so there's no hiding anything from them because they already know it all!
A close friend is someone who can make you laugh when things are at their worst, but also make you cry when things are at their best. They know how to make you feel better about yourself even if it means pointing out the things that aren't working so well.
How many close friends do you really have now in your life? Are they from your childhood, from school, or someone you met at a job?
These are the places most people find close friendships. These days it is much more difficult to connect with people in person. More people are working from home so interactions with others are limited. People's heads are buried in their phones and most likely have on headphones. How awkward is that trying to get their attention?
What I have found are communities on-line through different social media sites. You would be surprised how many people you connect with are in your area. Think of a cause or interest you have and there are groups for them.
I created a group on Facebook called The Mental Mechanics. It focuses on bettering a person through understanding their physical, mental, and spiritual connections. Every person I have invited has these things in common and they also want to help others in their own unique way.
If you are interested in having better more meaningful connections and conversations please check it out. https://www.facebook.com/groups/thementalmechanics .
Life is better when you feel connected to others.
