You built the thing. Now there’s no one you can say the hard part out loud to.

Group sessions for high achievers who are doing well on paper and carrying most of it alone. Your first session is free, and we match you into a room on purpose — not at random.

Takes about 4 minutes · No card, no obligation · Coaching, not therapy

A small group of professionals in an unhurried conversation around a low table

Success is very good at removing the people who could tell you the truth

It happens gradually and it happens to almost everyone who climbs. Your team can’t hear your doubt — you’re the one holding the floor steady. Your family sees the outcome, not the cost. Your friends from before are proud of you in a way that quietly ends the conversation. Your peers are competitors, or clients, or both.

So you get very good at a specific skill: sounding fine. And the better you get at it, the fewer people are left who would notice if you weren’t.

This is not a character flaw. It is a structural feature of the position you’re in, and the research on it is not subtle.

Five or six people who are carrying something comparable, in a room where nobody has to perform

It is not a networking group. Nobody pitches. There is no round-robin of wins. It is ninety minutes of working on the thing underneath the thing — with people who recognise the weight because they are carrying one of their own.

You say the real version

Not the board version, not the LinkedIn version. The one where you admit the growth is working and you still feel hollow at 6pm. That sentence is usually the whole session.

You get heard by equals

Advice from someone who has never held payroll lands differently than a nod from someone who has. Peer recognition is the active ingredient, and it cannot be faked.

You leave with one mechanic

Every session ends with one concrete thing to run — a pattern to interrupt, a conversation to have, a decision to stop re-deciding. One, not ten.

How the session runs

1

Where everyone actually is

Ten minutes. Not updates — a temperature. What’s loud in your head this week. Most people find this is the hardest part exactly once.

2

One person goes deep

Forty minutes on whoever needs it most that week. The rest of the room works the problem with them. You will be surprised how often someone else’s session is the one that moves you.

3

The mechanic

Twenty-five minutes where I bring one tool to the pattern in the room — from performance coaching, hypnotherapy, NLP or visualization, depending on what’s actually in the way. More on the methods.

4

What you’re running this week

Fifteen minutes. Each person names one thing. The room remembers it next time, which is most of why it gets done.

Five professionals seated in a circle, one speaking while the others listen

A group only works if the room is right

The single biggest predictor of whether a group session lands is whether the other people in it recognise your situation. Put a solo founder in a room of corporate VPs and both sides spend ninety minutes translating. That is why the questionnaire below is longer than a name-and-email box — it is the seating chart.

Comparable weight

Not the same industry — the same order of pressure. Someone who signs the payroll belongs with others who sign the payroll.

Compatible register

Some people think best when the room pushes. Others need it quiet before they will say anything true. Mixing those badly wastes everyone’s evening.

No overlap you’d regret

You tell us who you would rather not be in a room with — a competitor, a client, someone from your own board. We take that seriously.

A time you will actually keep

A group you miss is worse than no group. We seat you where your calendar can genuinely hold it.

This is coaching. It is not therapy, and it is not a substitute for it.

A good fit if you are

  • Functioning well and performing — and privately running on empty
  • Carrying decisions you cannot discuss with your team or your family
  • Successful by every external measure and quietly unsatisfied by it
  • Looking for peers and a method, not a diagnosis

Not the right room if you are

  • In crisis, or having thoughts of harming yourself
  • Working through trauma, grief or a clinical condition
  • Looking for medication, diagnosis or clinical treatment
  • Wanting a room to sell into

If any of the above is where you are, a licensed therapist is the right call and I will say so. In the US you can reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline any time by calling or texting 988.

Find your room

Nine questions, about four minutes. Every one of them is used to seat you — we do not run open-enrolment groups. Your first session is free and there is nothing to pay after it unless you want to keep your seat.

Question 1 of 9

Which of these is closest to your situation right now?

This is the first thing we match on — rooms work when the pressure is comparable.

How many people’s livelihoods depend on your decisions?

Blunt, but it is the best single proxy we have found for the weight someone is carrying.

What’s the heaviest thing right now?

Pick the one that is actually true this month, not the one that sounds best.

Right now, how much of that do you say out loud to anyone?

There is no wrong answer here and it changes who we seat you with.

What do you want out of the room?

Choose as many as apply. Rooms get built around shared intent.

Where do you do your best thinking?

Mixing these badly is the fastest way to waste a good group.

When could you genuinely hold ninety minutes?

Pick every slot that would survive a busy week. A group you miss is worse than no group.

Anyone we should keep you away from?

Optional, and treated as confidential. Competitors, clients, board members, anyone from your own industry — tell us and we will seat around it.

Where do we send your match?

You’ll hear back within two business days with the room we think fits and the next free session date. If nothing fits yet, we say that instead of seating you badly.

Your answers are used to seat you and nothing else. They are not shared with the group, and they are never sold.

Got it — we’re building your room.

You’ll hear back within two business days with the group we think fits and the date of your free session. If we don’t have the right room open yet, we’ll tell you that rather than seat you badly.

In the meantime, this is the fuller version of why so few high achievers have anyone to talk to.

Straight answers

Is the first session really free?+

Yes. A full ninety-minute session with your matched group, no card, no obligation. Groups only work when people want to be there, and you cannot know that from a sales page. If you want to keep your seat afterwards we’ll talk about it then.

Why is the questionnaire so long?+

Because the room is the product. A random group of strangers is a waiting room; a matched group of peers is the thing that actually works. Nine questions is what it takes to seat you next to people who will recognise your situation without a preamble.

Who else is in the room?+

Five or six people carrying comparable weight — founders, executives, practice owners, competitive athletes. Not necessarily your industry. Often better if it isn’t. What matters is that the pressure is recognisable.

Is what I say confidential?+

Everything in the room stays in the room — that is the one rule the group agrees to before anyone speaks. Note that coaching is not a legally privileged relationship the way licensed therapy is; if that distinction matters for your situation, a therapist is the right choice and I will tell you so.

Group or private — how do I know?+

If the loneliest part is that nobody around you understands the position, group is usually the faster fix. If there is one specific pattern you want dismantled, private sessions go deeper on it. Plenty of people do both. How each one works.

Is this therapy?+

No. This is performance and mental wellness coaching for people who are functioning and want to function better. It is not treatment, not diagnosis, and not a substitute for clinical care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 in the US.

The room already exists. You just haven’t been in it yet.

Four minutes of questions, a free ninety-minute session, and people who will recognise the sentence you have been not saying.
